การทักทายเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ

Once you have been introduced to someone, the next time you see that person it is important to greet them. We also greet people as we leave people. In English (as in all languages), there are different ways to greet people in formal and informal situations.
หลังจากที่แนะนำทำความรู้จักกันเรียบร้อยแล้ว ครั้งต่อมาเมื่อพบกันก็ควรที่จะทักทายกันเป็นเรื่องธรรมดาใช่ไหมคะ เราสามารถทักทายหรือกล่าวอำลาเป็นภาษาอังกฤษได้หลากหลายวิธี โดยสามารถแบ่งเป็นสถานการณ์ที่เป็นทางการและไม่เป็นทางการได้ดังนี้ คือ

Formal Greetings: Arriving

Good morning / afternoon / evening.
อรุณสวัสดิ์ (สวัสดีตอนเช้า) / สวัสดี (หลังเที่ยง) / สวัสดี (ตอนเย็น)

Hello (name), how are you?
สวัสดีค่ะ/ครับ เป็นอย่างไรบ้าง

Good day Sir / Madam (very formal)
สวัสดีค่ะ/ครับ คุณผู้ชาย/คุณผู้หญิง (เป็นทางการมาก)

Informal Greetings: Arriving
การทักทาย แบบไม่เป็นทางการ

Hi / Hello
สวัสดี

How are you?
เป็นไงบ้าง

What's up? (very informal)
เป็นไงบ้าง (ไม่เป็นทางการ มักใช้กับเพื่อน)

How are you doing? (very informal)
เป็นไงบ้าง (ไม่เป็นทางการ มักใช้กับคนรู้จักที่สนิทสนม)

It's important to note that the question "How are you?" or "What's up?" doesn't necessary need a response. If you do respond, these phrases are generally expected:
สิ่งที่ควรรู้เมื่อมีคนทักเราด้วยประโยคที่ว่า “How are you?” หรือ “What’s up” นั้น เราไม่จำเป็นต้องตอบคำถามไปว่าเราทำอะไรอยู่ เป็นอย่างไรบ้างตรงๆ หรือบางครั้งไม่ต้องตอบเลยด้วยซ้ำ เพราะเป็นคำถามตามมารยาทเมื่อพบกัน สามารถเปรียบได้กับคำทักทายอย่างหนึ่ง โดยทั่วไปแล้วผู้ถามมักจะคาดหวังการตอบรับจากเราดังตัวอย่างต่อไปนี้ เช่น

Very well, thank you. And you? (formal)
ดีมากๆค่ะ/ครับ ขอบคุณ แล้วคุณหล่ะเป็นอย่างไรบ้าง (แบบสุภาพเป็นทางการ)

Fine / Great (informal)
ดีนะ / ดีมาก (แบบไม่เป็นทางการ)

Formal Greetings: Departing
การกล่าวอำลา แบบเป็นทางการ

Good morning / afternoon / evening.
สวัสดี (ตอนเช้า) / สวัสดี (หลังเที่ยง) / สวัสดี (ตอนเย็น)

Note: After 8 p.m. - Good night.
สำหรับคำว่า Good night (ราตรีสวัสดิ์) นั้น ใช้หลังเวลา 2 ทุ่มไปแล้ว

It was a pleasure seeing you.
ยินดีที่ได้พบคุณ

Goodbye.
